I was hoping to show something different for my 100th post - but not this! My car (AKA "The Bear") decided to throw a bit of a wobbly on the way home from my dacha, the engine kept over-heating and the a hose burst; of course, as is usual, I was in the middle of nowhere and it was at night!
Anyhoo, with a bit of perseverance, a rollof Gaffa tape, a plastic bottle stopper, a plastic bottle top and a foil container, I managed to limp almost home; I was just 16Kms shy of home when I could go no further, I had run out of water to top up with.
And that is where I had some more of my good luck - the driver of a small truck stopped and offered assistance, it turned out that 2his girl" knows me too, and he towed me back home. Tonight he has offered to tow me to 'his mechanic', so I am hoping to be back on the road soon!
